Crafty Adults | Make Your Own Ink

with The Rare Book and Manuscript Library
Wed, Mar 8, 2023
6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Come learn a new craft at Crafty Adults!

We are bringing back the Rare Book and Manuscript Library for this special Crafty Adults program!  Have you ever wanted to make your own ink and write with a quill? Travel back in time with us and learn how -- crafters of all skill levels are welcome!

About the Presenter:   We are partnering with Ruthann Mowry of the UIUC Rare Book & Manuscript Library (RBML). The RBML of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is one of the largest publicly accessible special collections repositories in the United States. The collections—nearly 500,000 volumes and just over two linear miles of manuscript material—encompass the broad areas of literature, history, art, theology, philosophy, technology, and the natural sciences.

Watch our previous partnerships with RBML,   The History of Witchcraft,   Scrap, Excerpt, List: Making Indigenous Archives  and   Making Medieval Manuscripts on the library's YouTube channel.

Registration opens  March 1 at 9:00 am (closes March 7). Registration is required.
