Home Delivery

book on table, chair, mug, plant

Are you unable to leave home, but would to love to still get library books, movies, and more? You could benefit from our free Home Delivery service.

We deliver library materials to:

  • Champaign residents of all ages who can’t leave home because of a physical condition
  • Homes, apartments, nursing homes, and hospitals
  • On a temporary or long-term basis — for example, a child with a broken leg or a woman on bed rest because of pregnancy,  would both qualify

What will we deliver?

We deliver all kinds of books, from bestsellers to paperbacks and large print. You can also get the latest DVDs, audiobooks, CDs, and magazines.

How does it work?

First, fill out an application. Your answers will help guide us in selecting books, movies, and more especially for you.

Our Home Delivery coordinator will visit you to find out which authors, subjects, music, or movies you enjoy most.

Each time you schedule a delivery, we’ll select items based on your preferences — or you can request items yourself using the library catalog online.

A friendly volunteer delivers the library materials right to your door and picks up any items you are finished with. Rest assured, all of our volunteers have passed a background check.

Deliveries can be scheduled for once a month, every two weeks, or on a weekly basis.
