The Champaign Public Library Foundation is committed to raising private funds to create a truly extraordinary library for our community. Your support can help create a library that excels at:

  • Nourishing the love of learning and reading
  • Making information and opportunity available to all
  • Bringing the whole community together

Choose how your gift is designated

  • Unrestricted (your gift is used where it is needed most)
  • The Studio at the Library
  • Douglass Branch
  • Children’s Programs & Collections
  • Home Libraries & Mother Goose on the Loose
  • Digital Collections
  • Fund for Excellence (Endowment)

Things you can do to keep the Library strong

  1. Get and use a library card — one of the most important cards you carry.
  2. Keep informed by signing up for the library’s monthly newsletter.
  3. Follow the library on social media.
  4. Become a library volunteer and see the library’s impact firsthand.
  5. Tell friends, neighbors, and others about the library and its valuable resources—and encourage them to become advocates, too.
  6. Understand how the library is funded.
  7. Make a donation. Your gift will help the library and demonstrate support.
  8. Be a Star Donor with a significant gift of $250, $500, or $1,000
  9. Include the library in your estate plans.
  10. Let our funding decision-makers, the Library Board and City Council members, know that our community needs a strong library.
