When using a Chromebook, be sure to save your files to a Cloud account or flash drive, since Chromebooks remove any files when you restart. An internet connection may be necessary to use these devices.
The library offers computers for all ages at both branches, with free access to the internet. In addition, Chromebooks and laptops are available for in-library use.
Most of our computers are Windows 10, with 24" monitors and DVD+/-RW. Available browsers are Firefox, Chrome, and Microsoft Edge. Available software includes Microsoft Office 2016 Pro, Photoscape, iTunes, Windows DVD Maker, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, and Adobe Reader.
On the lower level of the Main Library, The Studio offers Adobe Creative Cloud software on 8 Mac Studio computers and 12 computers with Windows 11. Two workstations are dedicated to preparing art files for the Cricut machines and Glowforge lasercutters.
The recording booths offer a Mac Studio computer with Adobe Creative Cloud, Audacity, Final Cut Pro, GarageBand, iMovie, Logic Pro, and OBS Studio software. Each workstation includes a Shure SM7B microphone, AKAI Professional Mini keyboard, Apollo audio interface, and speakers.

On the second floor, the Main Library offers 4 Creation Stations with dual 24" monitors. In addition to the standard software listed above, these Windows 10 computers have Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Adobe Acrobat Pro. Each workstation includes a Wacom Intuos tablet.
The library offers two computers with ZoomText. A Dvorak keyboard and Big Track Super mouse also available at the second-floor service desk.
iPads with age-appropriate games are available in our Children’s area at the Main Library, and at the checkout desk at the Douglass Branch.
No e-reader? No problem! We have Kindles for you to borrow, loaded with ebooks. From new releases to older classics, historical fiction to literary nonfiction, we have a Kindle to suit your taste.
