Tuesdays at Ten | Learn Your Story
Researching and Resources
Tue, Jun 30, 2026
10:00 am – 11:00 am
Join us at the library for coffee, socializing, and learning something new.
This summer, we'll celebrate our library’s 150th anniversary during Tuesdays at Ten with a dive into library and local history. We have a lineup of experts ready to share stories, old and new.
Ever wondered how local historians piece together the stories of our community’s past? In this session, we’ll pull back the curtain on our own research methods to show you how to uncover the hidden histories of your home, family, or neighborhood. You’ll discover the best local resources and digital databases available to start your own investigation—no professional training required!
About the Presenter: David Needham is on the Board of Trustees of the Champaign County History Museum and volunteers with the Unit 4 School District mentorship program. He is also the founder of Story Tech Media where he helps families capture their stories and preserve their history through family interviews, videography, and digitizing vintage media.
