Writer's Workshop
Join us for this virtual workshop where you will learn creative writing techniques from author and editor Maisie Sparks.
Presenter: Maisie Sparks is the author of Holy Shakespeare, Christmas Quiet, and 151 Things God Can’t Do, all of which were published in the past five years. Her writings have appeared in several anthologies, including Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around: Stories of Contemplation and Justice, and Kaleidoscope: Broadening the Palette in the Art of Spiritual Direction. Maisie started her publishing journey as a self-publisher and later sold that first book to a traditional publisher who sold nearly 200,000 copies in English, Spanish, and Portuguese editions. A journalism graduate of the University of Illinois, she is the editorial director of The Sparks Group, a marketing and communications firm she founded 25 years ago. When not writing for clients or working on a book idea, Maisie also enjoys writing and designing photo albums about her travels or the life histories and achievements of family members and dear friends.
