Free. Offers computer use. Structured classes open to individuals with little or no computer experience are offered. A computer lab with free internet access is open to the public during the center's open hours M-F 8:30-5 pm and an online computer skills self-assessment and tutorials for beginning, intermediate, and tech-savvy computer users are available through their website.

Community Technology Center: Non-credit courses on computer basics and Microsoft Office. (Contact Tammy Kesler to register: 217/351-2506 or tkesler@parkland.edu.) Also offers internet basics and web design. (Contact Eric Springer  to register:    espringer@parkland.edu.) Open to the general  public. Both courses offer flexible scheduling and are available either on campus or online.
Community Education: Beginning and intermediate courses covering basic computer skills, email and file organization are available. Courses meet four times and range  from $50 to $65 for each course. Check Parkland's online "Non-credit class/workshop" catalog for current registration deadlines, schedules, and fees.

Outside of the Sunday drop-in hours, call or email to leave a message with your name, contact information, and computer question. Volunteers will respond back with an answer. Computer Help Desk drop-in hours: Sundays, 2-4  pm.
