About the Presenter: This workshop is presented by Teresa Jones, Associate State Director of Advocacy and Outreach, AARP Illinois in Springfield. Teresa serves as Associate State Director (ASD) of Advocacy & Outreach for AARP Illinois with her policy focus on Home and Community-Based Services, Caregiving, Census and Livable Communities. She also leads the state’s community outreach and education efforts in Congressional District 13 as well as Springfield community presence. Teresa has been with AARP Illinois for over 5 years and began her career with AARP as a Senior Program Assistant. Teresa has also served as interim ASD for the Metro East St. Louis area for several months. Prior to joining AARP Illinois, she worked for the State of Illinois as the Legislative Assistant to Senator Jacqueline Y. Collins for 13 years. Teresa is very active in her community as well as with her Woman 2 Woman ministry.
