About the presenter: John Milas's short fiction has appeared in publications such as The Southampton Review, Superstition Review, Chicago Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. He has read journal submissions for Ninth Letter, Sycamore Review, 5x5, and Rejection Letters, and has judged the fiction category of Uni High's annual creative writing contest since 2015. John grew up in Champaign and has left twice: once to serve in the Marine Corps and once to attend graduate school at Purdue University, where he earned his MFA in fiction under the guidance of his thesis advisor, Roxane Gay.
