Join us at the library for coffee, socializing, and learning something new.
This week, we'll learn about monsoons around the world, their link to oceans, and their importance to agriculture and life in tropical regions. We will also learn the consequences of monsoon failure and what happens when rains fail to fall during the wet season.
About the presenter: Robert Rauber is an emeritus professor of Atmospheric Science in the Department of Climate, Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois. He is an author/coauthor of several textbooks including Severe and Hazardous Weather, Natural Disasters, and Earth Science.
