Gardening season is here! Local experts will share gardening tips and tricks, plant information, and more in this five-part series. This week, we will learn about the various landscape elements and designs to foster a garden full of serenity and relaxation.
About the presenter: With over 30 years of national and international experience, Dr. Kaizad Irani has a rich background which includes architecture, landscape design and construction, business instruction, management and sales. He is a highly respected award winning retired professor at the University of Illinois and program director at Parkland College. Dr. Irani has been recognized by the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association with their Outstanding Local Community Service Award. In 2006, he was recognized for his pedagogy by the American Technical Education Association with the Outstanding Technical Teacher Award, Outstanding Faculty Award for the State of Illinoi 2019. His landscapes have been recognized frequently, however, Kaizad is most proud of being the designer for the award winning landscape design for the World Trade Center Memorial Park in New York City and the Healing Garden at St. Jude Children’s Cancer Hospital in Memphis, TN.
