Tuesdays at Ten | Biodiversity Heritage Library
Tue, Mar 25, 2025
10:00 am – 11:00 am
Join us at the library for coffee, socializing, and learning something new.
The Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL) is a broad open-access resource that includes full-text scans of original publications about biodiversity, beautiful and rare items with illustrations of plants and animals, as well as handwritten fields guides and notes by scientists. The BHL contains materials that may otherwise only be available in rare book libraries and is the largest open-access digital library for biodiversity literature and archives. In this workshop, participants will be guided through finding items and images in the BHL database and on the BHL’s Flickr page. Participants will also learn about opportunities to be citizen scientists, and help unlock the material in the BHL for researchers and the world!
