National Voter Registration Day

Tue, Sep 24, 2019
3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Celebrate National Voter Registration Day!

Stop by the Douglass Branch throughout the day to find out about voting and having your voice heard. Our community’s next election is the Illinois Presidential Primary on March 17, 2020, when we will be voting to narrow the field for who will be the next president of the United States. Do you turn 17 before March 17? You can vote!

This nonpartisan event is presented in partnership with the Champaign County League of Women Voters. Everyone is welcome!

Join us from 3–6 pm to meet with members of the Champaign County League of Women Voters:

  • Register to vote! You can vote in the next election—the presidential primary—if you turn 17 before March 17, 2020.
  • Get your questions answered by experts
  • Find out how to let your legislators know what you think
  • Learn how the library can help you get reliable, fact-based news
  • Tell us what’s important to you—which issues and topics would you would like discussed in our community?
  • Kids can enjoy hands-on activities
