Crafty Adults | Cookies & Canvases
Come learn a new craft at Crafty Adults!
One of our favorite events is back! Get cozy and join local artist Lori Fuller to create a beautiful acrylic painting.
About the Instructor: This workshop is presented by Lori Fuller. Lori is a local visual artist and educator whose acrylic and colored pencil works are inspired by the natural landscape and offer a detailed look at the textures, rhythms, and unique color palette found in our environment. Lori received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Art Education and is currently pursuing her doctorate from the School of Art + Design focusing on the intersection of disability and arts practice. She is passionate about teaching art to underserved populations and has designed an art magazine to inspire art making in the community.
Registration opens October 1 at 9:00 am (closes October 10). Registration is required.
We're offering this class two different dates/times. The first opportunity is at the Main Library on Wednesday, October 11 starting at 6:00 pm. The second offering will be at the Douglass Branch Library Saturday, October 28 starting at 1:00 pm.
These workshops are very popular and "sell out" quickly. Here are the details:
- Classes are limited to 40 participants.
- There is a small waitlist in case there are last-minute cancellations.
- Craft supplies are provided.
- Light Refreshments will be provided for "Happy Hour" from 6-6:30 pm.
- Instruction will begin promptly at 6:30 pm.
