Fees

We no longer charge overdue fines. This helps everyone have access to library materials and services.

• You still need to return items when they are due so they can be used by others.
• Your items will automatically renew up to 10 times, as long as no one else is waiting for them.
• Items from libraries outside of Champaign Public Library and Urbana Free Library may have overdue fines.
• You are responsible for everything checked out on your card, no matter who was using it.
• Accidents do happen. If an item you have checked out is lost or damaged, you will be charged for it.

Pay online

Fees can be paid online, in your library account. Log in and click on “Fees.” Check the box beside each fee you wish to pay and click “Pay Fees Now” under your fee list.
