Access    Services : Home Delivery Drivers

Volunteers deliver library materials to home-bound library patrons. Volunteers must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license. Drivers must be 18 years or older. Delivery days  are the 1st and 3rd   Thursdays of each month anytime between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Substitute drivers are also welcome.      Background check is required.

An interview with a volunteer coordinator must be completed before volunteer work can begin. Please email volunteer@champaign.org or call 217/403-2070 ext. 3    to schedule an interview.  All of our volunteer positions are on-going volunteer tasks, not for one time or for a short term  volunteer opportunity. We ask for a minimum commitment of four months when volunteering, and every volunteer will have a regular working schedule with a  maximum of two hours each  week that we deliver.
