Group Volunteer Project -  Summer Reading  Celebration 


Date:  Sunday, August 3rd, 2025
Program Times: 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
3 volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for Maintenance task
7    volunteers are needed from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the programs
Volunteers will check in at the Library lobby.

 Program Description:
Enjoy a  fun-filled afternoon at the library! Celebrate the close of the Oceans of Possibilities! Summer Reading Challenge (May 15–Aug 15) and pick up your prizes. The all-ages celebration includes music performances, crafts for kids, and more!
Task #1: Maintenance task (3 volunteers)
Location: Library parking Lot OUTDOORS
Time: 10 a.m. to noon
- Volunteers will assist Maintenance staff to move heavy tables and tents to the west lawn and assist with setting up barriers in the parking lot.

Task #2: Craft Assistance (6 volunteers) 
Location: Robeson Room A&B
- Volunteers will work with children’s services staff members to assist with craft activities. 

Task #3: Music performance (1 volunteer)
Location:  West Lawn OUTDOORS
- Volunteers  will direct people to activities around library and music group management as needed.
