The Studio | Large Format Printing

Interested in large format printing? We’ll take care of printing your files. Printing requests can take up to 7 days to complete. Payment is due at time of pickup.

The library has an Epson SureColor P7000 located in The Studio on the lower level. The printer is capable of printing up to 24" wide.

Poster printing guidelines

We will do our best to accommodate your requests and specifications, but we cannot guarantee a particular level of precision or customization.

To ensure quality prints, we ask that the image be high resolution, with 600 dpi  preferred, 300 dpi  minimum.

How to check image quality

• Right-click on the image (on a Mac: Control-click on the image)
• Choose Properties (on a Mac: choose Get Info)
• Click the Details tab (on a Mac: click More Info)
• Scroll down and check
  • Dimensions for image size in pixels
  • Horizontal resolution (300 dpi  minimum, 600 preferred)
  • Vertical resolution (300 dpi  minimum, 600 preferred)

Before you submit your request, please review the following guidelines

About your submission

• Files should be in JPG, JPEG, PNG, PDF, or TIFF formats (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .pdf, or tiff).
• Submitted files must have a minimum resolution of 512 by 512 pixels or 300 dpi.

Printing & pickup

Please allow at least one week for your item to be printed. Items may take longer than one week depending on the number of requests received and any equipment related delays.

We will email you when your print is complete. Completed prints can be picked up in The Studio on weekends. When you arrive, please let staff know your name and that you have received a pickup confirmation email. If you are not able to  pick up your print within 7 days, please alert us. Otherwise we may need to remove it.

Additional limits & restrictions

All print requests must comply with library policies. The library reserves the right to refuse any print request.
