Paul Gappinger came from a large family and was raised by his widowed mother. His family could not afford much for college, so they all had to pitch in around the house and work their way through college to make ends meet. He started out in a community college to save even more money and worked in construction to further pay for his education. After college, he entered the financial side of education and was accepted into the American College’s Chartered Financial Consultant program and spent years developing his skills and knowledge on the financial details of college planning. He has earned the CFE Certified Financial Educator® designation, as well as the CCP Certified College Planner® designation.
He has a deep concern about education in our society and feels that teaching and guiding our youth is a more appropriate approach in preparing them for the future than teaching them after they become adults. He has since joined the Heartland Institute’s College Coaching Program and works full time as a college planning coach. Mr. Gappinger cannot think of any job as rewarding as helping our youth become tomorrow’s promise for a bright and better future.
Presented in partnership with Heartland Institute of Financial Education.
