Join Peter Garino for an inside look at Shakespeare's First Folio.
The First Folio was compiled by John Heminges and Henry Condell, two of Shakespeare's fellow actors. Without it, we would not today have half of Shakespeare's plays. Peter Garino will examine how the First Folio came to be, its importance to our knowledge and understanding of Shakespeare today, and how the Folio is used by actors in crafting their performances. A must-see for Shakespeare aficionados or those who simply wish to broaden their understanding of Shakespeare.
Peter Garino is a founding member of The Shakespeare Project of Chicago and has served as Artistic Director since June 2010. He is an accomplished actor and director, most recently starring as the Prince in Romeo and Juliet and directing Richard III this past January.
