Thu, Mar 5, 2020
8:00 am – 9:30 am

Do you have trouble focusing on just one business idea at a time? Who says you have to? Not Mariah Madison.

Chicago native and former Eastern Illinois University basketball star Mariah Madison arrived in Champaign in 2016. Now, at only 24-years-old, she has three successful businesses in addition to volunteering her time in the community, speaking engagements throughout Champaign County, and tireless work promoting local minority-owned businesses. How does she do it? Join us at Champaign Public Library to find out her secrets to sustaining motivation, juggling competing priorities, and how she somehow manages to be everywhere at once.

About the Expert: Mariah Madison is the owner of Champaign-Urbana’s Premier Babysitting Service and Nanny Agency, Nannyville, LLC, as well as HeadStart Marketing which offers affordable business consulting, web design, and social media marketing. She is also the founder of BuyBlackChambana.com which is home to C-U’s First Black-Owned Business Directory. As the Vice President of the Champaign County Black Chamber of Commerce, she advocates on behalf of businesses within the community.
