Fundraising is more than just asking for money. It involves strategy, planning, engaging, and communicating. Achieving fundraising success requires many of these aspects and more. In this session, we discuss how a sound advancement/development plan that incorporates these components can result in fundraising success for you and your organization.
About the Presenter: Jon Salvani is currently Associate Dean for Advancement and the chief advancement officer for the College of Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He leads a team of advancement professionals that specialize in fundraising, alumni engagement, marketing, communications, stewardship, donor relations, and advancement events for the college. Jon has over eighteen years of advancement and fundraising experience, served in various leadership roles throughout his career, and worked with other non-profit organizations in developing their fundraising strategies and plans. Jon has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University, a Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and serves on several local and national volunteer leadership boards.
