Got old photos, slides, or documents you’ve been meaning to scan? This hands-on workshop will guide you through the process using equipment you can access locally—no tech degree required.
You’ll learn how to choose the right resolution, file formats, and scanner settings, and get practical advice on organizing and naming files so they’re easy to find, share, and safely back up. We’ll talk about creating digital copies you can access anytime from your phone or computer, giving you both convenience and peace of mind. You’ll also learn how to handle trickier formats like photo negatives and slides, and we’ll explain what’s involved in digitizing home movies like VHS tapes, 8mm cassettes, and other footage.
Bring at least one photo or document to digitize yourself: a 4×6 photo, an 8.5×11 document, a 35mm slide, or a photo negative. We’ll provide the tools—you bring the memories.
