Set yourself above the rest when you next interview with the skills you will learn in our Get That Job series. These classes are led by Carrie Harris, Career Counselor for Parkland College.
Classes will feature a lecture and then time to work on your resume, cover letter or interviewing skills. Training laptops will be provided. We encourage you to attend as many sessions as possible to get the most out of this series.

Get that Job! Composing a Remarkable Resume – Thursday, January 30, 4-5:30 pm
Learn to create a resume and cover letter that sell your skills! You’ll stand out in the crowd of applicants after learning to craft an attention-grabbing resume in this class led by Carrie Harris, Career Counselor for Parkland College.
Get that Job! Tips to Ace the Interview – Thursday, February 6, 4-5:30 pm
Interviews don’t have to be so stressful! This class will provide tips to help you prepare beforehand so that you make a great first impression.
Get that Job! Practice Interviewing – Thursday, February 13, 4-5:30 pm
Practice makes perfect, so don’t miss your chance to privately practice answering some of the most likely asked interview questions. Feel free to bring your phone and record the session so that you can later evaluate your body language, tone of voice, and ability to clearly answer your interviewer’s questions. We’ll also give you tips so that you can do your best when next interviewing for the job you’ve been dreaming of. Reserve your interview time by calling 217-403-2076.
