Children's Services: Hands-on Science & Discovery Stations

Program Times: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
10 to 12 volunteers from 12:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Volunteers will check in at the Children’s Services Desk on the first floor
Program Description:
Explore STEM at the library! Visit any or all our Absolute Science Discovery Stations.
Discovery Stations include Rock Identification, Building Connectors, the Van de Graaff Generator, Singing Bowls, Magnets, Euler’s Coin, Helicone, Hypno Gizmo, and Swinging Sticks.

Volunteer Job Description:
Volunteers are needed on each of the following Saturdays to assist Children’s Services staff with family programs. Program volunteers will arrive up to 30 minutes before the first program to help set up room, greet attendees, take headcount, etc., and stay up to 30 minutes after the conclusion of the last program to help tear down.
