Children's Services:  Bedazzling Butterfly Tents

 

Date: Saturday, May 30th, 2026

Program Times: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

15 to  20 volunteers are needed in total

1. First shift: 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. : 10 volunteers

2. Second shift: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. : 10 volunteers

 

Program Description:

Experience the wonder and beauty of live butterflies! Learn all about butterflies and spend time in an indoor butterfly tent where you get to observe live butterflies flying, eating, and more!

Drop by the library anytime between noon to 4 pm. Butterflies, tables, and tents will be located inside of the library in Robeson Pavilion Rooms A and B.

Volunteer Job Description: 

Volunteers are needed staggered throughout the duration of the program for setup, the program, and cleanup. Volunteers must be comfortable with butterflies--seeing them, touching them, having them land on them, picking them up, etc., as volunteers will be helping to safeguard the butterflies, remove them from patrons, keep them from escaping, etc.
