Want to create a 3D print? You can make a 3D object file at home using your favorite 3D printing software and send it to the library for printing. Use the form below to send the design to us. Our team will print your 3D project and contact you to let you know when it’s ready for pickup.
Your 3D project must be appropriate for a library setting.
Please make sure that your file is an STL file
Please include your first and last name in your file name.
What about size? For best results, keep your project under 100mm in size. Projects will be sized to fit within the printer's dimensions and library's time constraints.
Note: The 3D printer prints with PLA filament in one color. There are no color options for prints, but customers may choose to paint their print after pick-up.
We will contact you by email if there are questions.
We’ll contact you to let you know when your 3D piece is printed and ready for pickup.
Prints may be picked up during Studio open hours on the weekends: Saturday (9-6) and Sunday (12-6) at the public service desk.
Payment is due at the time of pickup.
All print requests must comply with library policies. The library reserves the right to refuse any print request.
The Studio at the Library is made possible with support from the Library Foundation, Library Friends, and the City of Champaign.
