Both locations will be closed Friday, Nov. 8, for staff training. Book returns are always open.
A LIBRARY CARD is all you need to borrow free books, movies, CDs, magazines, and a whole lot more!
Champaign Public Library cards are free if you live in the city of Champaign or are a student or teacher in Champaign Unit 4 School District. Want to know more? Read our Policy on Library Card Registration.
After filling out this form, you’ll be issued a virtual card number and will be able to immediately access our E-Library—so you can listen to audiobooks, stream movies, get help with your resume, build a business plan, and use dozens of resources right away.
If you request a full access card as part of your application, our staff will contact you to verify your information and a card will be mailed to your address. It’s that easy!
You can use your full access Champaign Public Library card at The Urbana Free Library and all public libraries in the Illinois Heartland Library System.
