A family new to Champaign stopped by the Douglass Branch to sign up for library cards. They thought it was perfect we have six different colors for cards and tote bags so everyone could get a different color—and take home their favorite!

The Studio at the Library

The Studio at the Library hosts activities for teens every day after school, creative workshops for adults in the evenings, and is open to everyone on weekends—Saturdays (9-6) and Sundays (12-6). Studio details and reservations »

Events. We offer a full calendar of events for job seekers, entrepreneurs, writers, Crafty Adults, and anyone looking to improve their tech skills. We offer in-person events for all ages, including storytimes at both locations.

Need a card? Sign up for instant access to our online resources. It only takes a few minutes. Champaign residents can sign up online to get a library card. The new card number works right away, so you can instantly listen to an e-audiobook, stream a movie, build a business plan, or get help with resumes and more, using resources in our E-Library.
