Group Volunteer Projects - Main  Library

The library offers group projects for groups interested in one time projects. Group volunteer projects can include collection maintenance, cleaning work in the maintenance department, or assisting with special programming.  The group volunteer projects are for adult volunteers (18 years or older) only with a group of five to eight volunteers.

If you are looking for an opportunity to organize a group volunteer project, please contact the  library's  volunteer coordinator  to discuss a group volunteer project.   Please email or call 217/403-2070, ext. 4 . Group projects without contact or confirmation from a volunteer coordinator will not be eligible. Group volunteers are welcome and needed during the following times:

  • Sunday, Dec. 9th Life Size Candyland (at least 12 volunteers needed from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m): Volunteers can sign up to work in 3-hour or 6-hour shifts; Wet your sweet tooth, as you play Life-Sized Candy Land! Follow the rainbow path through a magical land of sweet surprises. You’ll find the library transformed into a giant Candy Land game board. All ages are invited to play -and then try board games or a craft after.
