Do you know a young person with a lot of great ideas and big dreams? Check out YEP!
The Young Entrepreneur Program (YEP) is an award-winning, innovative curriculum that seeks to engage, empower, and educate young people in Champaign County through entrepreneurship. Over 9 weeks, experienced educators, mentors, business owners will guide participants through the process of developing their ideas into viable business opportunities. The program culminates in a pitch competition on Sunday May 5th, where successful participants will present their startup vision to a panel of notable venture capitalists and entrepreneurs for a chance to win up to $5,000.00 in seed money for their proposed venture.
The program meets every other Monday from January 14th to April 29th, 5:30-7:00 pm at the Champaign Public Library. On Mondays when a workshop is not scheduled, participants may choose to attend the coworking and mentorship meeting offered in the Launch Business Center. This is a great opportunity to improve your business through individualized support and tailored feedback.
