What's Goin' On? | A Virtual Celebration

Celebrating Music, Arts, & Community

A free virtual celebration of music and the arts streaming from The Canopy Club.

Sat. & Sun., July 11 & 12 | YOU’RE INVITED to a virtual celebration of music, arts, and community—streamed live from The Canopy Club.  This two-day event will feature musical performances, spoken word, live DJs, and a variety of local artists. Community leaders, activists, and local youth will join as panelists. The events since George Floyd’s death on May 25 have seen protests and unrest throughout the world. These demonstrations are not only about the George Floyd tragedy, but also about too many acts of violence committed against Black Americans that have gone without appropriate resolutions as well as about addressing systemic racism and historic injustice. Together with artists and activists we can deliver a message of unity and Black empowerment like Marvin Gaye did in 1971 with his iconic hit “What’s Going On?”

This event will be live streamed from The Canopy Club website.
