In Concert at CPL: Bones Jugs

Sun, Jun 30, 2019
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Like live music? Experience Bones Jugs as part of CPL's In Concert series!

From the depths of Urbana, IL Bones Jugs has emerged as the premier xylophone driven roots Americana act in the country. With boness, jug, xylophone, kazoos, resonator guitar, 6-string banjo, banjolyn, upright bass, trap kit, horns, more horns, washboard and a medley of knick-knacks and noise makers Bones Jugs conjures up their eclectic acoustic sound. It’s a 21st century spin on early American music, that includes, but is not limited to, ragtime, Dixieland, jug band, bluegrass, blues, string band, skiffle, spasm, swing and more. Whether it be with original songs, with hidden gems of the written or recorded archives, or with their own take on modern music, Bones Jugs places their unique stamp on everything they play. If you’re looking for a sound that you’ve heard around town, Bones Jugs may let you down, if you expect the unexpected you’ll get just what you expected!
