Learn to create a cover letter that will really sell your skills!

You’ll stand out in the crowd of applicants after learning to craft an attention-grabbing cover letter in this class led by Jim Howley, Director of General Studies, Educational Attainment, and Outreach at Eastern Illinois University. Previously, he served as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Services and Dean of Instruction at Wilbur Wright College and as Chair for the Division of Liberal Arts as well as Director of Career Services at Governors State University.  He has served as an administrator or faculty member at the University of Chicago, Illinois State University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He holds the Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the M.A. in Higher Education--Student Affairs from The Ohio State University.

Classes will feature a lecture and then time to work on your cover letter. Training laptops will be provided.
