Bestselling Authors Visit Champaign Library: Gregory Maguire, Jamie Ford

WE ARE HONORED to host two bestselling authors in November:

Gregory Maguire, books

An Evening with Gregory Maguire
MON Nov. 6 • 7 pm

Gregory Maguire is the bestselling author of Wicked and dozens of other cross-over books for adults and children. Maguire will read from his books including Hiddensee (October 31 release date) and share  insights on writing. A book signing will follow, with his books available for purchase. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Advance reservations available via  Eventbrite. 

Missed getting a reservation? You can see Maguire in Decatur the following evening on Millikin University’s campus. (11/7  at 7p, free; Kirkland Auditorium seats 1900 people)


Jamie Fordand books

An Evening with Jamie Ford
THU Nov. 16 • 7 pm

Jamie Ford is the bestselling author of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, Songs of Willow Frost, and Love and Other Consolation Prizes (September 12). Ford will discuss the historical inspiration behind his  novels. A book signing will follow.   Doors open at 6:30 pm. Advance reservations available at Eventbrite.  * WAIT LIST ONLY – However at recent events, we've been able to find a seat for many of the community members who show up. *

Both talks are part of the Great Authors at the Library series and are made possible with support from the Library Friends.
