Reminders help you return on time
Get an e-mail reminder to let you know you have something due back soon — or something to pick up. Just add your e-mail address to your account information online, or call 217/403–2000 and we’ll do it for you. Better yet, sign up for Library ELF, which gives you more ways to keep track of due dates.
Please Keep in Mind…
Please note that we cannot guarantee the reliability of e-mail messages. Borrowers are still responsible for knowing when items are due. We recommend that you call us or check your account online for the best information. Any interruption in e-mail reminder service, either from the library account system or ELF (details below), does not excuse patrons from fees if items are returned late.
Customized E-mail Notices: Library ELF
Library ELF is an independent service that lets you get e-mail notices as early and as often as you‘d like. ELF also shows you a handy calendar of your due dates. Use it to:
- Get due date reminders whenever you want them (for example, get a notice a week before an item is due, then every day after that)
- Get overdue notices right after the due date (usually you wait 15 days)
- Set up your hold notices the way you want them (for example, to get more frequent reminders that you have something to pick up)
- Get notices as cell phone text messages
- Review information for all of your family‘s library cards at once
