Gifts in Honor of Special People
Gifts that honor, celebrate, or remember
- Make an individual or group gift of any amount to the Champaign Public Library Foundation in memory or in honor of someone else. Upon the loss of a loved one, some families prefer to have gifts go to a charity in lieu of flowers. These gifts can be combined into a memorial fund. Gifts may also be combined to celebrate weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, or any other special event.
- Remember or honor someone special with a book or books containing a personalized gift plate. A gift of $25 will purchase one book for the adult collection; a gift of $15 will purchase one children‘s book. For larger gifts, multiple books can be purchased. Your gift book(s) can memorialize someone or celebrate a birthday or other special event.
- Dedicate a shelf in memory or in honor of someone special. A gift of $5,000 will sponsor a shelf in our new library permanently.
Named endowment funds
- Create a named endowment fund. This substantial gift creates a permanent fund named for the donor or an honoree. The gift is invested and the interest earned is used to enrich library programs or collections.
