Description: According to the article “Champaign Firm iCyt Gets High Ranking” in the New-Gazette, the Best Companies Group and the Modern Think Consulting Firm rated a Champaign company, iCyt, one of the 30 best places to work in Illinois. Furthermore, it was the only firm in the downstate Illinois to make the list.

The company was founded by Gary Durack in 1995 as Cytometry Services. It changed its name to iCyt Visionary Bioscience in 2002 and moved to the University of Illinois Research Park the same year. In 2005, it moved into a new building in the park, 2100 S. Oak St. Durack remains the company‘s president and chief technical officer. Tim Hoerr is the chief executive officer of iCyt.
