One thing I love the most about the Champaign Library is something that’s not even in the library, and that’s the BOOKMOBILE! I count my blessings everyday knowing Lavana, Danotra or Connie are going to drive that big ol’ bus into our neighborhood. My son and I look forward every Tuesday to walking, skootering, or taking our Little Tikes blue wagon down the street to see those gals and peruse the books/magazines.

Aside from the obvious benefits of locally checking out books, the Bookmobile also brings people together in my neighborhood at least once a week. It is one of the few times I see people come out of their houses and kids playing outside. It is such a great place to congregate, meet other parents/kids, and get the most current magazines, DVDs, books. Though I look forward to the opening of the new building, I will still frequent the Bookmobile and hope they continue to drive through my neighborhood every week!! WOO!
