These basic rules help maintain a comfortable library environment for everyone.
Library cards are available to residents of the City of Champaign. Learn about cards for children, businesses and organizations, and non-residents.
We welcome use of our meeting rooms for informational, educational, cultural, and civic meetings.
Internet access is provided by the library through public computers and the library’s wireless network, accessible to properly equipped portable computers and devices.

Alcohol is permitted only at special events sponsored by the library or Library Foundation.
Beverages (non-alcoholic) are permitted in lidded containers only. Food is allowed in meeting rooms and at special events.
We strive to provide accurate and timely reference information to all who request it.
The Art Committee will recommend the acquisition of selected works of art which enhance or complement the architecture and design of the library.
The library offers space for non-profits to distribute publications and post notices. A display case is available at the Douglass Branch Library.
